General Info About one hour's flying time from Gillespie (Archer), Avalon is a fantastic little island paradise only a few miles off shore of Southern Cal.


The airport is often described as having a "Aircraft Carrier" like feel as it sits 1602' above the ocean with steep drop offs (read: Cliffs!) at both ends of the runway.
What to do? Go early, take the $15 bus ride (round trip) to city of Avalon. Shop, eat, relax, swim, indulge!
Over-water flight: Floatation and checkout required!
Fees/Costs $5/person landing fee and approximately 1 hour flight time (Archer)
Services? Absolutely none for the plane, but the airport does sport a really nice cafe serving authentic Buffalo burgers. You gotta try 'em!
